Omar Jason Farah (b. 2000 and they/them) is a curator and scholar with a focus on black queer independent film.
They are Curatorial Assistant at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) and live in Oakland, CA.
Prior, they held curatorial roles at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art. They received a MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard Colllege and a BA from Princeton University. They recently founded BLACKOUT, a nomadic microcinema and research center focused on black queer independent film.
